Overview

The NextGen  Summer League is designed to give players a fun, competitive, and development focused environment during the off-season. Played at Paramount Ice Thornhill the league emphasizes puck control, creativity, decision making, and confidence in a structured and professional setting.

League Structure

Location: Paramount Ice Thornhill
Birth Years: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020
Season Length: 8 weeks total (July 2nd - August 20th)

• Weeks 1–7: Regular season games
• Week 8: Playoffs and Championship

Team Format:

• 10 skaters per team
• 1 goalie per team
• Balanced teams created by NextGen staff

Game Format:

• Full ice 4 on 4
• 3 x 12 minute periods 
• Championship playoff format to finish the season

Cost

Player Registration: $450 + HST
Goalie Registration: $150 + HST

• Full 8 week season
• Non parent coaches

Coaching & Development

Each team is led by 2 NextGen experienced coaches. Our coaches focus on:

• Encouraging creativity and confidence
• Teaching decision making in real game situations
• Supporting individual skill development
• Creating a positive and competitive environment
